NATWA II Gathering in the SF Bay Area!


The North American Taiwanese Womens Association, 2nd Generation Group is an organization that promotes the networking of Taiwanese American women around the country. Come meet other Taiwanese American women in the Bay Area and get a sneak preview of an exciting new documentary film!

Please join us on Sunday, August 19, for an afternoon of casual conversation with other second-generation Taiwanese American women, followed by filmmaker Anita Chang's presentation of JOYFUL LIFE, her new documentary collaboration with Hansen’s Disease (leprosy) patients in Taiwan.

This event takes place in El Cerrito (north of Berkeley) from 3:00-5:00pm. Snacks and light refreshments will be served.

TAYL Picnic and Camp Reunion


Junior High through High School-aged Taiwanese Americans throughout the SF Bay Area are invited to join the Taiwanese American Youth Leadership Camp's Summer Reunion. Even if you're new to the organization, please feel free to come join us and learn about camp! It's a great way to spend a summer day and make new friends!

East Bay Taiwanese Association Picnic

Time: 10 am til 3 pm
Location: Newhall Park, Concord, CA. (Turtle Creek at Ayers Rd)
Cost: $5 per person, Free for kids 12 and under

Lunch will be served at noon. There will be plenty of exciting games for the kids!

ART 168 Production (A Rabbit and A Tiger Production) is excited to
announce their newest stage production of The Thumping Claw One Act Series!
The Thumping Claw will premier at the Actor's Playpen Theatre in Hollywood
on Thursday, August 9, 2007. This production is produced, directed, and
written by Asian Americans. We are proud to feature an emerging
Taiwanese-American playwright, Wesley Du, as part of The Thumping Claw.
Part of the proceeds of will benefit the Center for Pacific Asian Family
in Los Angeles to help end domestic violence.

TAPS-Seattle and APA Organizations Picnic


Come join TAPS-Seattle and many other Asian American organizations for a fun picnic event at the Lake Boren Park in Newcastle! There will be lunch, fun activities for children and adults, various entertainment, raffle many various things to do for you and your family! There will be fun activities such as an “Asian Idol” singing competition, and TAPS will be sponsoring a Dodge ball tournament too!

Other organizations present will be: ACRS, BAAPA, CIE, EDI, FACES, Title Insurance, KAPS, MAPS, NAAAP, TAPS.
